Rolando Ochoa Way Co-Designation Ceremony

(Miami, FL July 19, 2017) - Mayor Tomas Regalado will hold a street naming ceremony to co-designate a portion of S.W. 12th Court as "Rolando Ochoa Way" in honor of his legacy and contributions to the advancement of film, television, and radio.

Rolando Ochoa was a radio and television personality in Cuba before his arrival in Miami in 1962 where he continued to perform in local theaters and delighted the Cuban community nostalgic for their past.  Together with Leopoldo Fernandez "'Tres Patines," Mr. Ochoa brought the Cuban people of Miami entertainment and laughter.  Throughout his life, Mr. Ochoa continued to delight his audience. He died on January 30, 2009.
