Mayor Tomas Regalado's Anti-Poverty Initiative Provides Funds for Education

(Miami, FL February 1, 2017) - Mayor Tomas Regalado's Anti-Poverty Initiative will provide $10,000 to Common Threads to support their cooking and nutrition education program that teaches more than 300 children and adults at Frederick R. Douglass Elementary, Eneida M. Hartner Elementary and Lotus House Shelter.

Common Thread's mission is to educate under-served children on the importance of nutrition and physical well-being, empowering them to be agents of change for healthier families, schools and communities.
