Miami City Commissioner Francis Suarez Re-elected to Second Term as MPO Vice-Chair

(Miami, FL January 30, 2017) - On January 26, 2017 at the Miami-Dade County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Governance Board meeting, Miami City Commissioner Francis Suarez was re-elected to a two-year term as the MPO's Vice-Chair. Commissioner Suarez serves as the City of Miami's representative on the MPO, the body of elected officials charged with prioritizing and planning regional infrastructure and transit improvement.

"I am honored and humbled to have received the support of my MPO colleagues, who elected me to a second term as their Vice-Chair," said Commissioner Suarez, who received the unanimous support of all board members present at the meeting. "I look forward to continue making transit and mobility a priority in our community and advocating for better transit solutions for our residents," added Commissioner Suarez.
